Another Update as to the state of things

The past few months have possibly been the toughest months for me in the last 2 years. Struggling with the lack of options to get out and train has left me pretty sad and frustrated. Multiple visits to the doctor have confirmed that for this injury to improve I would need to be a bit more drastic in my approach to rest. So, now for the next few months its going to be all about turning the mermaid mode on and taking it easy when it comes to any impact activity.
I have never before been made to concentrate only on swimming as an activity. This time ( has been about 24 days including today) has given me a chance to explore swimming and take it a level up from the regular “get into the pool and get some laps in”. Now, I have started experimenting with breathing techniques ( bilateral is the way to go – minimal kinks in neck and efficient breathing as well). I have also started implementing intervals in my swim workouts. Warm ups, cool downs – pure pulling and only kicking drills have also been thrown in there to keep things interesting. What used to be an extremely boring cross training for me has now started becoming a form of meditation in itself. But, everything said and done, I can’t wait to get back to being myself.
As always, there are two sides to every coin. With a lot more energy on my hands, it has been a lot easier for me to devote time and attention to the Protons Training plan and diet charts. It is a very exciting phase for us. With two months under our belt and getting into the third month of operation we are currently at a strength of 60 and are looking at surpassing the triple digits by our fourth month of operation. We have been working behind the scenes on some very exciting events and more news to come up on that front shortly.
But yes, other than that, things have been peachy. Copious amounts of work sprinkled with fair amounts of play mixed with a good helping of reading has been keeping me busy.
